Week of the Elote

So we had the new missionary meeting this tuesday and that was so great. Really, like President Jardine is just so amazing, and I even like all of our APs, haha we have 3 now. And I just really feel like President Jardine is so inspired and really loves us. So that was awesome.

The other thing is that our investigators will be getting married May 9th, and then baptized on May 16th. I'm so excited!! I can't believe it, they're so amazing. We're about to teach them tithing this week so hopefully they take that like everything else and are totally chill and willing to do it haha.

And then the tastiest thing of this week was the elote, and the mango something. It's chili sauce and ice and mango slices in mango juice. So good, but so weird. My mouth was like YEAH and my stomach was like what is this? But the elote, holy freak. I love it. Me and skeletor would be bffs.

Um so our cars have TeeWees now those little boxes that yell at you and record stuff, and generally they're fine. Like they don't sense much. But today since my comp was gone I got to drive our car and we were on the freeway, and it yelled at me :( check your speed. hahaha no surprise there, #newyorkdriverforlife.

Otherwise it's been awesome. The Maldonados haven't come to church yet, but hopefully they'll get there this week.

Also there are turkeys everywhere in Sacramento and Rancho. They just run across the 6 lane road into the parking lot of another building, and everyone's like oh nbd. turkeys. hahaha, this guy was on our way to a park for a service project though, so he was hopefully happy in his natural environment.

Shout out to Sister Collyer I will write you back. And the rest of the Greene branch. I promise. Sorry I'm lame haha

I love you all!!!!! Everyone go out with the missionaries! Member presence is so important, for real, we only had one this week, and we could tell hahaha. The missionaries will love you forever. Do it ;)

Have a great week!!

Love Hermana McCloud

Tee Wees and Trees

So this week was good, lots of nice times spent in the ghetto of Terra Loma or Croetto. Had my first kind of sketch experience where we were talking with this really nice guy Alex, and then this old man named Jose Garcia who was wasted got up and came over and gave us his number, which was really hard for me to get down on account of his slurred speech and #stillanewbie Spanish numbers lol. And then we shook hands and left and he like caressed my arm and I was like AH THANKS gotta go hahaha. Good stuff.

We got two more of our investigators on date! I love them so much! They are named Rosa and Ana and they are some of the most beautiful wonderful girls ever. They rock. we usually get different family members every time we go over, but they're there most of the time, and this past lesson it was just them, and it was just so awesome. It was a good way to end the day because none of our investigators came to church!! and our wicked responsible nice ones didn't even call us, and they weren't home when we went to check on them.

So we have the TeeWee in our car now, we got them at zone conference, and so far it hasn't said anything to us haha. I also got to drive!! (before we had the teewee which is probs a good thing hehe) Because we had exchanges and they were so awesome. I was wicked nervous to be leading the are and stuff and be away from my comp, but I learned a ton and it was great. Pues, life is good. There's a See's Candy in our area actually quite close to our appt, so obvs life is good. OHH also last night there were like 5 cop cars when we got home hahaha, and apparently it was just domestic violence and this girl gets arrested every month, so it's nbd. #ranchoforthewin

LOVE YOU ALL !!

Those weird trees that are all sticks turn into that one with leaves on it hahaha. They look like hands.

Hola from Rancho Cordova!!

Hey!!

So look!! I'm actually writing a little like general email about my week so that Heather finally has something to put up on the blog I made her make for me hahaha.....

So yeah, real quick. We have an awesome family investigating right now. And they are so prepared. Like we haven't done anything, they're golden, and the Lord just gave them to us. We have them on date for May 16 and they're getting married the end of this month (fingers crossed). They came to conference and loved it, and came to church and love it, and they're just wonderful. Marco and Ivet. I don't have pictures yet... soon, we'll get to that level hopefully hahaha. I mean we love them, and we're so close, but a picture is forever so... hahahaha anyway.

Um My companion is from Casper Wyoming and I love her. She rocks. I'm learning a ton from her, and I can still learn more, always. Hermana Sanchez. It amazes me too how the Lord just blesses us with what we need, all the time. Like wow. The Heavenly Parents always know what they're doing. Amen to that.

Other than that... umm spanish is cool. Haha, I don't really have any issues with it. I really think I could just talk more in lessons, I need to open my mouth! Because I'm sure I couldn't say anything too horrible hahaha. So yep, Rancho Cordova is doing swell. The members are legit, and I'm going to volunteer to play the piano because using a cd in sacrament meeting just doesn't cut it for me hahaha.

ALSO GREENE BRANCH SHOUT OUT thank you SO MUCHO for the package!!! Oh my goshhh that made my week. I will write you all a letter you can post up for the world to see. Oh my gosh it was the best, and it even arrived before my mom's and I was like ahh yeah, I know who loves me more ;) hahaha

LOVE YOU ALL peace and blessings!!

Hermana McCloud.

Umm these pictures.. one is from our apt during a giant storm, maybe some clouds?, um me eating the greene easter package chocolate bunny maybe? and my favorite tree, we were driving by so it isn't a great shot but yeah. cool cool . <3

WOWZA your week sounds crazy!!  I miss you so much!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This week has been good, just read Dad's email hahaha I said more stuff there. Conference was amazing did you love it??? Maybe it's like a magical missionary thing but I loved it, and I learned a ton, and since basically it was all about families hahaha it will all have to wait anyway, but some of it was perfect for right now and I loved it. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved all of it hahaha I mean I even liked Packer's talk hahaha. But yeah I loved those ones you mentioned and the music one and the latter days saints/sinners/etc one was really great too. And Uchtdorf's was just so great. Really changed my heart about obedience. things are way better with the comp. Life is good . Miracles every day.  I Love you so much. thank you. <3
